The tablet coating machine now solves people's traditional labor methods and facilitates production. The tablet coating machine must be dried at a low temperature after the finished product, and kept turning during the process. Do not put it in a high temperature environment and do not expose to sunlight. Otherwise, it will easily make the pills pan oily. After the device is turned on, do not block the air vent with your hands or other objects to prevent damage to the blower. Description of some common problems of tablet coating machine:

1. Excessive humidity problem

Too wet is because the spraying speed is too fast relative to the drying efficiency, and there is no balance between spraying and drying. This phenomenon is more likely to occur during the coating process of a water-soluble coater, because water is more difficult to dry than organic solvents.

Due to excessive humidity, the tablets may stick to the pot wall, or the tablets may stick to each other. This will cause the clothing film to be broken and uneven. To avoid over-wetting, the spraying speed must be carefully controlled, and the inlet air temperature can be increased. In addition, adding talc or magnesium stearate to the coating solution can improve this phenomenon.

2. Film problem

①Color difference

 In many prescriptions, there are pigments or dyes that are suspended in a polymer coating solution. If the stirring is too slow, it will cause precipitation, resulting in color differences between batches. If the temperature is too high, the pigment will easily diffuse and the film color will become light. Reducing the amount of plasticizer and stirring the coating solution can improve this phenomenon.

②Clothes rupture

This is one of the problems that often occurs in coating. The polymer coating film ruptures and cracks appear. When the problem occurs, the coating may occur for several hours. This is due to a prescription. Adding a polymer with a larger molecular weight to the coating solution or increasing the amount of plasticizer will avoid this situation.

Successful coating depends on three main factors:

Coating prescription: It must be determined according to the purpose of coating. It must be carefully screened, or finished coating materials can be selected and formulated when used;

Chip core: the surface finish, hardness and friability must meet the requirements;

Coater equipment: throughout the coating process, the main process parameters must be well controlled.
